Our team is made up of warm, skilled, masters-level therapists who specialize in Expressive Arts Therapy and evidence-based mental health care. They bring clinical expertise, creativity, and genuine compassion to every session.

We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
Every therapist on our team brings their own unique background and therapeutic style, but we all share the same foundational values: client-centered care, strengths-based collaboration, and a deep commitment to the healing power of creative expression.
We're also a trauma-informed practice. This means we approach every client relationship with sensitivity, respect, and care for the whole person. We look forward to meeting you!
Every therapist at The Artful Life is masters-level trained and either fully licensed or supervised by a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), and LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state of Massachusetts. Our clinicians have diverse specializations — from trauma and PTSD to autism spectrum support, LGBTQ+ affirming care, play therapy, and more, so we can match each client with the right fit.

We take matching seriously. When you submit your New Client Inquiry Form, our team reviews your needs, preferences, and goals — and connects you with the therapist best suited to support you. If at any point the fit doesn't feel right, we'll work with you to find a better match within our team.
All therapists are masters-level trained and are either fully licensed or working under the supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Massachusetts. We also have staff who are Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), too.
Yes. If you have a preference, let us know in your inquiry and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Building a therapeutic relationship takes time, more than most people actually expect. What can feel like an awkward or uncomfortable start is often just the early stages of trust forming, and many clients find the connection deepens significantly after a few sessions.
That's why we ask all new clients to commit to 3 to 5 sessions before evaluating fit. If after that time something still doesn't feel right, we're happy to have an honest conversation about next steps. Our goal is for you to feel genuinely supported, and we'll work with you to make that happen.
