Dr. Astrid Carrington is a therapist, educator, researcher, and AAMFT Approved supervisor. Her focus is on helping teens, adults, couples/relationships, and families. Areas of expertise include ADHD, Autism (ASD), LGBTQIA+, and women’s mental health. Astrid enjoys working with people who find struggles turn to victories, families rediscover that there is hope, progress in managing ADHD, success with ASD, and embracing one’s own identity.

Comfortable! I'm a what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of person. We have conversations that build towards a trusting therapeutic relationship. I get to know you and you get to know me. Feel free to ask me anything! By the end of the session, my goal is to have collaborated with you on making those first practical steps towards your goals.

What are some of your favorite approaches?

I'm a collaborative and inclusive therapist and have been trained in Collaborative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and ASD and ADHD specialist training. I also teach students how the many ins and outs of relationship therapies.
