I am a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, a nationally certified counselor, a board-certified art therapist, as well as a certified school counselor and art teacher. I am also a Professional Counselor Telehealth Provider in South Carolina (Link to SC Board information: https://llr.sc.gov/TeleHealth/Counselor.html). With nine years of experience applying the arts as a therapeutic modality, I offer meaningful creative experiences that foster strengths, empowerment, expression beyond words, and healing.
I have extensive experience working in schools with special education students with diverse needs in grades K-12. Additionally, I have worked in community-based in-home therapy, residential treatment settings for adolescents, hospitalized settings for adults in recovery, and community grief centers. I have written grants to bring art therapy to families in need of early intervention services and to adults with traumatic brain injuries. I also spent time volunteering as an art therapist at a home and school for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in Sri Lanka.
We review the CSA and policies, discuss diagnosis and medical necessity and go over treatment planning.
