Regulate and Create
Summer 2026, 6-Week Program
Ages 14-17
A 6-week creative arts group designed to help teens explore anxiety, social connection, and identity development in a supportive and engaging space.
Through art-making, movement, reflection, and peer connection, participants will build tools for nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, self-compassion, and goal setting. Each week introduces new themes that build toward a final integrated art piece representing personal strengths, growth edges, and resilience.
Sessions include:
Interactive warm-ups and ice breakers
Psychoeducation on stress, emotions, coping, and social support systems
Embodied drama games and mindfulness to connect
Guided art-making experiences
Gallery walks and peer reflection
Weekly Themes Include:
Understanding the nervous system (fight, flight, freeze, fawn)
Identifying and befriending emotions
Positive self-talk & self-portrait work
Identifying support systems: “Who do I let in?”
Goal setting & coping skills: “Healing is not linear”
Integration: Creating a final piece that tells your story
Youth will experiment with collage, painting, mixed media, 3D materials, and reflective writing. The group culminates in an integrated artwork and artist statement that captures each participant’s journey.
A space to regulate, reflect, connect — and create.
