Equity & Care:

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at The Artful Life

Our Vision

We strive to foster a community of trust, belonging, and respect where both clients and staff can flourish. Our commitment to equity and inclusion is not just a value, it is the foundation of how we care, how we collaborate, and how we grow together.

LGBTQIA+ Affirming Counseling Practice
The Artful Life is proud to be an LGBTQIA+ affirming counseling practice. We believe healing is most powerful when people feel safe, seen, and valued for who they are. Our clinicians provide high-quality, trauma-informed care for clients of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and family structures, and we honor and respect each person’s pronouns and identity.

Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Workplace

The Artful Life is committed to advancing equity and addressing systemic barriers to mental health care. Our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion extends beyond client services. At The Artful Life, we intentionally cultivate a workplace where clinicians and staff are respected, supported, and able to bring their full selves to their work. We believe that when our team thrives in an affirming environment, our clients benefit from the care, creativity, and compassion that flow from that culture.

We honor and celebrate the richness of every person’s background—including race, ethnicity, faith, and culture—and we are intentional about matching clients with clinicians based on therapeutic fit. While we may not always have a clinician who matches every individual preference, all of our clinicians are committed to providing safe, affirming, and inclusive counseling services.

Our Commitment in Action

As part of our commitment to these values and goals, we support, promote, partner with and/or seek consultation from the following local and regional organizations and ask you to consider giving your support as well:
