  • A typical first session with me involves a conversation lasting 45 - 60 minutes. When therapy is requested for younger children, I typically only meet with the caregiver during this session- this way we can more freely explore your concerns and hopes for the child. Through this conversation, my goal is to get a better sense of who your child is, as well as their strengths and challenges. I also welcome any questions you might have about me, The Artful Life, or therapy in general.

  • In sessions, I use Child-Centered Play Therapy, informed by strengths-based, relational, family systems, and expressive arts approaches. In my therapy space, I have a wide array of toys and creative materials, and I allow the child to choose their mode of play, following their lead. I am continuing to complete trainings and supervision in CCPT, as well as other play therapy modalities.

  • I'm (allegedly) related to Florence Nightingale!

I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker, with a Master of Social Work from Regis College, working towards independent licensure in the state of Massachusetts. My background includes experience with children ages 3-12 in outpatient mental health, mobile crisis, and educational settings. I believe that play is the language of children and a tool through which they are able to process, communicate, and problem-solve emotional and situational challenges. My clinical focus areas include behavioral concerns, anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, attachment trauma, and LGBTQ+ identity.
