A fist session with me begins a kind exploration of both my client’s strengths and challenges. Clients accomplish this by paying attention to what draws their focus and comfort to begin. My job is to encourage my client’s curiosity about themselves, their evident and emerging strengths to assist them in making satisfying life changes.

Al’s work brings together psychotherapy, psychodrama, drama therapy, puppetry, mask work, and storytelling. In tandem with these approaches I regularly use more conventional approaches such as CBT, DBT and Internal Family Systems

Al Vautour is a psychotherapist, educator, storyteller, and creative facilitator dedicated to helping people discover new possibilities for growth through action, imagination, and authentic connection. He has a strong belief in both the power of deep rehearsal and practice.
With a passion for both the science and the art of human development, Al specializes in helping individuals understand patterns of relationships, overcome obstacles, and develop greater emotional flexibility. He has a particular interest in the treatment of ADHD, ASD and first responders exploring innovative approaches that combine experiential methods with evidence-based clinical practice.
