The Artful Life Counseling Center and Studio is a group mental health practice that offers an alternative approach to traditional mental health counseling for individuals of all ages on the North Shore through the use of expressive arts therapy. We are located in the vibrant arts community of downtown Beverly MA.

Our team of licensed psychotherapists provides client-centered, strength-based and collaborative expressive arts counseling for all ages.

What We Need:

The Artful Life is seeking therapists who are experienced and trained in expressive arts therapies and also have at least one clinical niche (children, trauma, EMDR, family, adoption, DBT, etc.). Although our therapists can market themselves to grow their referral base and recognition in the community, The Artful Life provides a steady stream of client referrals as well, and works hard to maintain a positive reputation and their position as the go-to expressive therapy center on the North Shore of Boston. 

Candidate must be independent, driven, collaborative, and enhance our fun, connected, and positive-minded group of clinicians. Candidate must be able to see a minimum of 15 clients per week (20 clients preferred). Therapists must be able to complete clinical documentation in a timely manner. Candidates who have already been in private practice or are paneled with BCBS are a plus. Proficiency is using EHR (electronic healthcare records) software also a plus. This is a W2 employee position with salary based on a percentage commission. 

What We Require:

  • Must have current Massachusetts state licensure (LMHC, LICSW, PsyD, PhD)
  • Minimum 3 years post Master’s Degree clinical experience
  • Must be trained in 1 or more of the following modalities: expressive arts therapy, creative arts therapy, play therapy, movement/dance therapy, drama therapy, art therapy, music therapy, yoga therapy, poetry therapy
  • Must be able to work with children ages 5+ and their families
  • Individual malpractice insurance
  • Able to see 15-20 clients/week
